8 Must Haves to Survive a Kitchen Reno
Demo day is approaching soon and you just realized you don’t know how you will manage without your kitchen (oy vey!), now what? Well, you have a few options. Option number one, take out. Option number two, eat at your favorite local restaurants. These options can get a little pricey and often still leave you with dishes to clean, figuring out a way to reheat leftovers and the hassle of having to plan for every meal ahead of time. So we are here to give you option number 3, the temporary kitchen.
Today we are sharing 8 must-haves for creating a temporary kitchen while yours is out of commission. This is a great way to keep your sanity during renovations since it gives you a way to cook and prepare just about anything. Thankfully, a few of these items have multipurpose usages like the InstaPot (that can serve as a rice cooker, pressure cooker, slow cooker), Cuisinart Toaster Oven (perfect for simply toasting or baking casseroles) and the Keurig (which obviously can make coffee, tea and or provide hot water in a pinch.) Some other great ideas are using a folding table to set up your appliances, a tv tray in case your dining room is also under construction and a portable camping sink like the one we linked below. The great thing about this portable sink is you can easily carry all of your dirty dishes in it to the bathtub or outside to hose them off.
We can’t promise these 8 must-haves will help you survive any emotional breakdowns during the process but we do think they will help make feeding your family, a lot easier.
